We first felt God calling us to become involved in Biblical counseling while we were attending Faith Church in Lafayette, In in 2004. They had a great biblical counseling training center there, so as members, we took advantage of the training. Attending this training only increased our desire to learn more about how to counsel people Biblically.

After years of study and hard work, we both became ACBC-certified Biblical counselors. We minister as a couple to married couples who are struggling in their marriages and parenting. Chuck counsels men and Dianna counsels women covering most major areas.

At one point, we were considering retiring to Costa Rica. In order to learn more about Costa Rica, we contacted a couple in Costa Rica who are ACBC counselors but who are also part of OIC. This is how we were introduced to OIC.

In the July 2021, we went on a biblical counseling training mission’s trip to Cost Rica to teach Pastors and lay leaders in local churches. Forty-three pastors from all over Costa Rica, Panama, and other locations attended the two-day conference. Chuck taught different tracks about what biblical counseling is, frequent issues addressed in biblical counseling, and how to start a biblical counseling ministry in their church. Through round table discussions with both men and women, we were able to present to them Biblical Counseling as a way to train their congregations to address life issues and to disciple and help others as well as their neighboring communities. God blessed our visit in fantastic ways, and we have been asked to return to Central and Eastern Costa Rica in Feb and July 2022 to teach 70-80 Pastors. God LIT a Biblical counseling fire in Pastor’s hearts, and we praise God for all He’s done and continuing to do in Costa Rica and around the globe.

Most recently, God has called us to a new adventure to become part of a new church plant in Montverde, FL. Chuck will be the Pastor of Discipleship. The Church’s name is “Water’s Edge Bible Church”, with the slogan being “Fishers of Men”. Biblical counseling will be foundational and centric to all its congregation and all outreach ministries of the church. Everyone will be taught Biblical counseling principles. While some will desire ACBC certification, all will receive and utilize the foundations of Biblical counseling. Please pray that God will send the people and grow His Church to become a beacon for Christ and the Gospel.

Family: We have 6 adult children, 17 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren with the 7th expected in the Spring of 2022.

We want to personally thank OIC’s leadership and staff, its coordinators, and members for all they do for Christ and the Gospel around the globe. May God continue to use and grow OIC for His Glory and Plan.
